Hopkinton Massachusetts
When you think of Marathon Monday, you think of Hopkinton. But that's not the only thing that brings this wonderful town alive. Just take a drive down Route 135 or Route 85 to the Town Center to view the expanse of lawn on the Common and enjoy the summer concerts from the bandstand. Public and private recreational facilities about along side cultural events like the Arts Festival and Fourth of July Parade.
As a small town with a population of about 13,000 residents, Hopkinton offers that quintessential New England feel along with small stores and shopping that make you want to stop and grab a cup of coffee and pastry. Hopkinton is bordered by Ashland, Upton, Westborough, Holliston, Southborough and Framingham. It's a great commute to Boston, Worcester and parts north and south on Route 495.
There are wonderful parks including Hopkinton State Park, Whitehall State Park plus the town beach on Lake Maspenock. You will be able to fish, play tennis find playgrounds, hit some golf balls at Saddle Hill Country Club ( where some absolute lovely homes are built) and sign the kids up for swimming and outdoor activities at the YMCA.
You will find all types of homes on the market from delightful Antiques, rambling ranches, magnificent new construction and townhouse/condos. Prices run the gamut from mid $150,000's to $700,000. Hopkinton is proud of its schools and community projects and urges all new residents to join in the town's affairs and become part of this warm, friendly community.

Getting From Here To There.....
A map tells how far the suburbs are from Boston as the crow flies. Well, crows don't commute to work, although people do. And people find that when it comes to commuting by car, many places are closer than they think. Here are the estimated driving times into Boston during off peak/peak commuter times from Metrowest. Time may vary due to road and weather conditions. But, hey, when the sun shines you might outfly the crows.
Here's the scoop on driving from Hopkinton. You can get on the Mass Pike (I90) from Route 495 and get to Boston in 40-50 minutes. Worcester is about 30 minutes away. Framingham is about 10 minutes from town center and you can hop the train to Boston or catch the Bus from Route 9 at Shoppers World. All the surrounding towns are about 10-15 minutes away. You have great access to Cape Cod from Route 495 too.

Town Recreation Areas & Parks
Carrigan Park
Is the first site of our Little League Ball fields. Located
behind the old high school on Main Street. Given to the town by
two teachers, who taught grade school for many years. The land
was part of their father's farm. The remaining land located
around the fields and the houses between Grove, Maple and
Pleasant Streets was a cow pasture until 1930.
Head of Charles
Recreation Area
Was acquired in 1976 by tax title, it is a 15 acre parcel of
land located off Hayden Rowe Street. At town meeting the land was
designated to Parks & Recreation and Conservation
Commissions. There is a small brook flowing through the west end
of the parcel known as the Charles River. The rest of the parcel
will be developed into ball fields with parking for many vehicles
in the near future.
Reed Park,
Woodville
Was acquired in 1969, it is a 10 acre parcel of land located
between Lake Whitehall, Piazza Lane and Parker Point Road access.
There are 6 barbecues located in a pine grove, 2 tennis courts
that are fenced in and asphalt surfaced, Little League or Soccer
field, and parking for 25 cars. There is several foot paths that
lead to the shore of Lake Whitehall.
Sandy Island -
Town Beach
Is located in the middle of Lake Maspenock. This is a
residents only Town beach. With foot access from Lake Shore
Drive. The beach is open June through September for swimming
during lifeguard's hours. Parking is by permit only. It also has
a boat launch in the parking lot for residents use. Milford
residents have a launch area at the Milford Dam Area. Power boats
are allowed on the lake. Water skiing, jet skies, and various
other craft are allowed on the lake. But must be properly
registered by the State of Massachusetts.
