Southborough was incorporated in 1727 and was largely a farming community to the north and industry to the south. With only about 7200 people in town, Southborough retains a lovely mix of quiet New England charm along with a very community oriented population. Southborough has a number of new home sites with sale prices ranging $700,000 to well over $1million dollars in some neighborhoods. There are starter homes available in the mid $300,000 price range too.

People love Southboro because it's quiet, country, suburban yet only minutes to the hustle and bustle everywhere else.

Although there is not a major supermarket in town, there are several small markets and specialty shops for gourmet foods. In about 10 minutes you can shop in one of the surrounding towns for groceries.
